Snorkel Scissor Lifts
Scissor lifts use a platform upon a scissor-like mechanism in order to raise and lower personnel. This machine is just made to lift vertically. The apparatus that is responsible for raising and lowering the scissor lift is made from folding and linked supports that are designed in a crisscross or an x-shaped pattern.
The platform propels in a vertical way by applying pressure to the outside of the lowest set of supports, causing upward motion by extending the crossing pattern. The width, stroke, capacity and length or scissor lift are the most common product specifications. The distinction between the equipment's completely lowered and fully raised position is referred to as the stroke. The platform's longest dimension is the length. Capacity refers to the maximum force or load supported by the scissor lift. The narrowest dimension of the lift is its width.
