Yale is a top producer of zero emissions electric forklifts within the North American Market. The company was among the very first to start using the energy efficient AC motor and other control technology. Yale's continued pursuit of enhanced energy efficiency is improved more by competitive testing. Green Innovations
Yale introduced and developed an innovative electronically controlled transmission. This machinery greatly reduces tire and brake wear for our ICE lift truck clients. For our electric forklifts, Yale has applied a system to recapture energy into the lift truck during braking and during the lowering of loads. This energy could then be used again. This specific process greatly lessens the models overall energy consumption.

Yale has used numerous innovative engineering techniques to decrease non-productive energy use throughout the vehicle by means of hydraulic system efficiency, drive train efficiency and weight reduction. There are still patents pending on the drive train efficiency.

Green Initiatives
Yale has taken great strides to make their lift trucks to be compatible with the latest in alternative power technologies over the years. The company has applied clean diesel fuels, LPG option and electric battery models. This tradition is being upheld most recently, with Yale being among the first to implement working fuel cells in actual applications.

Yale has supported many greener technologies through engineering collaboration. Moreover, we have started a new system of field validation testing, and analysis. Currently, we are investigating in more effective battery chemistries and technologies, in order to lessen overall energy use, lessen toxic material content and increase production.
